My entire professional career has revolved around sports, events, and activities. All of which require a lot of marketing, advertising, and exposure focused materials. I am the current Assistant Athletic Director at Peninsula College and responsible for all athletic marketing, game presentation, and event management.
A few years ago I realized the marketing department was not able to produce what we needed at the level I wanted. Not because they weren't capable, simply because they didn't have the time. This just wouldn't do.
I decided I would take all the multi media classes offered at the college I could, and take on the athletic marketing needs myself. Having a background in art, a masters in business, experience in marketing, and a love for creating; graphic design quickly became a passion.
Doing all the graphics for the athletic department, my work was quickly noticed outside the college. I started a little side business, Mountain Man Graphic Design, and I have been lucky enough to work with all types of events and businesses over the years since. Rodeos, mud runs, extreme bike races, apiary's, and car dealerships just to name a few. I have created everything from packaging and branding materials for products, logos for events and businesses and all kinds of gear. I have designed and created books, pamphlets, flyers, banners, and even a gym floor.
I love the challenge of creating and I am excited to see where this skill will take me.
